Baby it's cold outside

With the wind whipping away and the temps feeling like the single digits, the majority of the shorter haired breeds did NOT want to stay outside and play in the snow! Molly is always the exception to that, boy does that girl love the snow. I almost can hear her begging for more. Trouper also really enjoys the snow. I think the scent stays around longer so he has more trails to follow.

Mac & Wrigley did their business as fast as possible, looking back at me with the most heart wrenching look, begging to go back inside. Once inside, they had the time of their lives playing chase. Wrigley sure does love the laser toy :)

For those of you who do have winter gear, please make sure it is accessible and visible so I can bundle the little ones up. Also, if you are using rock salt on your driveways and sidewalks, check to make sure that it is the pet safe kind. There will be an article in our upcoming newsletter about using safe salt.

Chessie, Lucy & Nemo

Lucy as usual was the first to greet me this morning, not sure if it is me or the treats she likes more! Nemo has decided he wants in on all the attention and sat purring next to me begging for chin scritches tonight. Chessie was mostly interested in getting her canned treats :) but did allow a bit of petting.

Chessie, Lucy & Nemo

The kitty crew is doing well. All three were sound asleep when I got there earlier. Lucy was the first one to greet me, came right over and rolled on her back so she could get some tummy scritches and of course a couple kitty treats! I know you said she is the shy one but I would have never guessed that!

Poor Chessie, I did startle her a bit, she was so sound asleep. She forgave me as soon as I took out her canned food though :)
Nemo was rather comfortable on his chair and decided he didn't want to get up but he did accept a treat and some scritches.

Bubba, Gumbo & MoJoe

Bubba has come a long way in just a few visits. He seems more confident without access to his "panic room". He is comfortable enough that he is eating in front of me and even was the first to come get the bedtime treat :)
Gumbo and MoJoe are being their usual lovey and silly selves :) I love MoJoe's happy dance!
Forgot the camera so no pictures tonight :(
All send tail wags and kisses of course.

Bubba, Gumbo & MoJoe

The pups are all doing great :) Gumbo and Mojoe have of course been my constant companions. Bubba finally decided at tonights visit that I wasn't here to eat him and that it was ok to go outside with me. I have shut the bedroom door for now just for the first few visits so he can't go into the closet and hide. I will open the door so they can sleep in there tonight though. Someone did decide that a decorate pillow looked tasty and decided to sample the stuffing. I told them its not that kind of stuffing, silly dogs!
They all send kisses and tail wags! Look for pictures tomorrow.
